Do It Afraid...

Have you ever noticed how kids are ALWAYS trying new things, like every day! They learn new skills & strategies at school. They try new activities & sports on the regular & they are constantly making new friends- right?!? My daughter literally comes home from every new adventure- camp, dance class, gymnastics...& tells me about new friends she has made- She is so excited to learn more about new people & share with them all about who she is.

So, why is it so hard & SCARY for us, as adults, to try NEW things & go on new adventures & make new friends?!? Is it because we are afraid that we wont be good at new things? That we will look silly? That people will judge us- or NOT like us?!? At what point did we lose the ability to "Just Go For It?!" When did we lose our sense of adventure & excitement & start judging ourselves more than anyone else ever would?!?

Let's be completely honest here- No one really cares what we are doing! On the occasion that someone is judging, forming opinions, being negative & nasty it says MUCH more about who they are than it does about who YOU are- & who cares what someone like that thinks of you anyway! Right?!

What would you tell your son/daughter if they told you that they really wanted to do something BUT were afraid? You would be heartbroken- You would encourage them to go for it & not take no for an answer!

Dig down to the carefree KID inside & Go For It!

Be Silly
Take the new job
Go Back to School
Go On the Trip
Make that New Friend

Say YES to the Things have been on your mind & in your heart!

New Year Refresh

I t’s that time of year when the holidays are over our holiday Decor is put away, hopefully! Your home is clean & quiet & let’s face it- we’re stuck in the house right now due various reasons. So, it’s a great time to reevaluate and refresh. I find that if I don’t go through my things, refresh and get rid of things that I don’t need or use; think those fancy underwear that you bought that were so uncomfortable that you never wore them!  That being said- Let’s get rid of the clutter and keep the things that we feel our best in! If we learned anything in 2020 it was to live our best lives. I like to take the end of January/beginning of February as a time to go through my things.
